 We have had so many request to open our barn again we have decided to  do just that. We have a barn full of things we need to move out.... good prices as you would expect at a "Barn Sale" just as we did before You know that it is August and in Texas it is hot!! Dress comfortably and we will have plenty water for you to drink.  

The best thing about this show is Rick and Allison Beckham  will be here with their wonderful things.  They have been on a buying trip in the past few weeks and they have some very unusual things for you.  They will be set-up in the "potting shed" and also outside having plenty room to display their "found" pieces.  The potting shed is air conditioned so it will be a very pleasant shopping experience.

We will also have the house open and since we have also been on a buying trip you can expect to find many treasures for your "fall" decorating. 

Please take notice the change of time from our regular shows.....30 minutes early!!!! You know how the crowd is and you want to be first in line.

As usual for those of you who have not been before or have misplaced your directions you can call and I will be happy to help you find your way!! 

Rustic Artifacts

We are all geared up for our Spring Home Show........"Rustic Artifacts". Our show will be Thursday, June 7 and you know it begins at 10:00 am.  You can expect the "unexpected" for this show.  I am very pleased with how it has turned out and I think you will be too.

The last couple of shows we did on Saturday and since we got quite a bit  negative feedback about changing the day of the week we decided we would go back to Thursday.  I am sorry if this does not fit your schedule but as you know the majority rules!! Maybe we can work something out if you are willing to make a day trip and have a show all to yourself.  I would love that since we are always willing to open our home for you.  Just give me a call and we will get you on the schedule!!

I am again asking you not to take photographs.  We have had some problems with posting some of the pics in areas that I really am not in favor of.  Thank you in advance for not putting me in an uncomfortable situation.  Also, don't forget to pick up your stickers when you come in the door.  Some of you may not be familiar with this  but so simple to place a sticker on what you are SURE that you want to purchase.  

Of course we will have plenty food so come prepared to have lunch.  Bring a friend or two and plan to have fun.  The potting shed will be open and everything in the yard will be for sale.  Don't forget to ask.

As always Billy and I are so looking forward to seeing you!  Be sure and ask when and where our next show will be.  It may be next door to you.........

Awesome Show!!!

Marburger Farms Antique Show is just around the corner!! In case you are not aware of it this is the best antique show you can possibly go to.  The booth set-ups are not to be found in any other show. Not only do you find the best treasures but the vendors set their booths up in such a way if you didn't buy a thing you would get your money's worth in ideas. 

This picture that I have posted is of our booth last spring.  We are located in Tent A and Booth 9.  We are directly across the aisle from Magnolia Pearl.  Everyone knows where her booth is. I think our booth is going to be a killer booth.We have a set of windows that are fabulous.  We have really put in a lot of time trying to find the best merchandise possible and create a setting that will make you take your hands out of your pocket!!

If you don't already have your reservations for a room you need to do that NOW. We open on Tuesday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m.   I know we will see you then!!

This Old House

Just so you will know this is a true story and that I really was there I went ahead and posted a picture of myself on the porch of "This Old House". As you can see in the background the porch is littered with pieces of wood and what you can't see is that some of this litter is pieces of gingerbread trim that had fallen off the top part of the porch.  My heart still flutters when I look at this picture and see what a treasure is in the woods of deep East Texas.

The old Cadillac is still parked in the front yard just as if it is parked waiting to take a road trip.  I am told by my sweet husband that this is  a 1960 model luxury car.  The most fabulous thing about "This Old House" is that it is completely filled with furniture!!! The kind  of  furniture that those of us who would die for an old shabby (with the horse hair showing) sofa is still setting  in the the living room.. It looks to me as if this was probably a house of distinction!! Oh what a shame!

This is a place we can look at and wish "what if" but  until that happens why don't we just think about what we do have and what we can do with it.  I can help you decorate the one you are living in now!!
