Repurposing Motivations

If you really want to get motivated you need to check out the Junkmarket Under Glass Extravaganza that we have been talking about. It is coming up on September 7 - 10. Taking old items and using them in a new way is like finding them all over again. You will get your chance, to not only get motivated, but find those one of a kind items we all love. This event is hosted by renowned author Sue Whitney and Otten Bros Garden and Landscape Center in Long Lake Mn.

Repurposing can be taking an old bee hive and making a light fixture.

Repurposing can be relocating an inside cabinet to a porch for use as a plant holder.

Repurposing can be an old iron porch swing used as a love seat in a bedroom.

Oh before I forget it is a must that you go to U Tube and search for Sue Whitney at Marburger Farms Weddings Part 1 and Part 2. You just might see someone you know.

Taking time to give thanks

Most of us know who truly deserves our thanks. There is so many different things going on in our lives from day to day we seem to forget to take the time to voice that thanks.  I hope you will stop just a minute and give thanks for just a few of the things we take so for granted.

Thanks you for my family
Thank you for my health

Thank you for my freedom

Thank you for giving your life for me

Leaving Texas and Hackberry Hill Farm.

Yes, this is home in Texas and  I love it but I am more than ready for a break from this hot weather!! The weather man doesn't give us any hope of relief from it  so we have decided to take a road trip to some cooler temps and do a show in the north!!! No matter if you live in Texas or Minnesota everyone love the outdoors and beautiful flowers.  Don't you agree?

This is just a sneak preview of where we will be going.  This is a booth in the "Junkmarket Under Glass
antique show which will be held in a wonderful greenhouse at Otten Bros. Garden Center and Landscaping in Long Lake, Minnesota.  We will be doing the show with Sue Whitney and a wonderful bunch of awesome vendors on Sept 7-10.  We know it is a long way from Texas to Minnesota but pull out the motor home, tent, or turn loose of some of that extra cash and take the road trip with us.  We do have clients in the area around this show and look forward to visiting with some of them in their part of this beautiful U.S. of America. See you soon and you might need to bring a lightweight jacket!!!

You can get more info from the Junkmarket Style website or on Facebook.

Garden Embellishments

I love garden embellishments but I want to use them inside. I hope you like the ones we have shown. It is hard for me to let them go but I know I will always find another one that I love just as well. You may recognize some of the ones shown below as one that I have had at a show you may have been to. Let me know if you see one that looks familiar.

Merci Beaucoup

Just saying "Thank You" does not really express the way I feel about our   friends who continually support our
shows that we have here at "Hackberry Hill Farm".  You are the ones who give the energy that makes these shows so exciting.  Knowing that you have fun makes it all worth the time and energy Billy and I spend getting ready for you.   Again you contributed to a very successful show and we are already looking forward to December so we can do it again. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!!!

We have already been able to gather some new items for the "Red Barn Show" which will be held at the Big Red Barn Event Center in Roundtop, Texas on Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th.  We hope to see you there!!

Big on Twigs

Our main focus for this show is going to be heavy garden . As you can see from the above pic  we are a little out of the box this time..  We have always had our "Home Show" on Thursday and we changed it to Saturday, June 11 - which is this coming up Saturday. I hope you put the right "day of the week" on your calendar. I am excited to see if some of our "working girls" are going to be able to attend.  I sure hope so. We are already getting calls wanting directions so that is a good sign. Don't hesitate to call if you are not sure how to get here and for those of you that have never been our phone number is listed on the home page of our website so be sure and give us a call.  The weather man says it is going to be cooler the last part of the week so don't let a little heat stop you from coming. If you like garden antiques you are in for a treat.   See you Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Hackberry Hill Farm

After 15 plus years we have finally agreed on a name for our little piece of heaven here on earth. The tree that stands out front in the pic is called a "Hackberry Tree" and that is why we have decided to name our little farm Hackberry Hill Farm.  There is another one just inside the pasture and several others that are not shown in this picture. When you get your invitation to our JUNE 11 SPRING SHOW you will not be confused when it comes from Hackberry Hill Farm. Remember our show this time will be on a Saturday and we hope this makes it easier for you to include it on your calendar.  We are working to make it a very special show and hope you gather all of your friends, bring them with you and make a day out of it.  If you have never been, find someone that has and come see that everything in the house truly is for sale. Call us if you need more info

You will love this new bedskirt that doubles as a coverlet that we have just added to our Whitewash bedding line.  Everything you see in this pic will be for sale.  Also the potting shed will be open!! I don't have it finished yet but as soon as I do maybe I can get a pic posted for you. Remember Saturday, June 11.  Hope to see all of you then.  Hugs, Judy
